1. Introduction

Getnews Creator Database (the "Service") is a web service operated by Brazil Ltd. ("we," "our," or "us") at https://gcd.getnews.jp. The Service is invitation-only and available exclusively to creators who have entered into a partnership agreement with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The Service uses YouTube API Services, and your use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When creating an account, we collect the following information:

  • Display name — used for display and identification within the Service
  • Email address — used for authentication, account recovery, and notifications
  • Password — stored in hashed (irreversible) form only

2.2 Profile Information

You may optionally provide:

  • Profile image — displayed on your portfolio page
  • Bio — displayed on your portfolio page

2.3 Google Account Data

When you connect your Google account to use the YouTube integration features, we access and store the following through the Google OAuth 2.0 protocol:

  • OAuth access token — used to authenticate API requests to YouTube on your behalf
  • OAuth refresh token — used to obtain new access tokens when the current one expires
  • Token expiration time — used to determine when to refresh the access token

We request the following Google API scope:

  • youtube.force-ssl — allows the Service to read your YouTube channel data, including playlists, videos, and captions, via the YouTube Data API v3. This scope is required because retrieving video captions (subtitles) is only available through this scope.

2.4 YouTube Data

Through the YouTube Data API v3, we retrieve and store:

  • Playlists — your YouTube channel's playlist information
  • Video metadata — titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publication dates, and other metadata for videos in your playlists
  • Captions/Subtitles — subtitle text associated with your videos (used for topic generation and full-text search)

2.5 Derived Data

We process your YouTube captions using the Google Gemini API to generate the following data.

Your explicit consent for the use of caption data in AI processing is obtained when initiating the YouTube integration.

  • Topics — structured topic summaries extracted from video captions
  • Formatted subtitles — cleaned and readable versions of raw caption text

2.6 Automatically Collected Information

When you access the Service, we may automatically collect:

  • Log data — IP address, browser type, access times, pages viewed
  • Cookies — session cookies for authentication and CSRF protection

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service — displaying your video portfolio, enabling search, and generating topics
  • Authentication — verifying your identity and managing sessions
  • YouTube Integration — synchronizing your YouTube playlists and videos
  • Topic Generation — processing captions through AI services to create structured topic summaries
  • Full-Text Search — enabling search across video captions and topics
  • Account Management — password resets, two-factor authentication, and account settings

4. How We Share Your Information
